Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, & The Weeknd Are Performing At The 2017 VMAs, So Get Pumped
This year’s Video Music Awards are going to be awesome, America. Katy Perry is hosting and bringing additional 2017 VMAs performers like Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, and more with her. It’s somehow all of my new and old favorite celebrities packed into one, easy-breezy evening of viewing pleasure frommy couch. Today, on August 7, new promos were released revealing some of the performers who are lined up for the evening, and they sound amazing.
This year’s show is especially anticipated given the suspenseful list of incredible nominees, who are truly neck-in-neck for some of our favorite awards. For example, Ariana Grande is up for Artist Of The Year, and Lin-Manuel Miranda of fame has a nomination for Best Fight Against The System. (LOVE.) Additionally, fans are crossing their fingers for more outrageous Imma let you finish moments, and holding their breath for a Perry/Swift run-in on stage.
Plus, the performers we know so far have some of this year’s best hits, including Cyrus’ love tribute Malibu, Perry’s Swish Swish, and The Weeknd’s Secrets.
The promos for the show this year have a serious outer space theme, with really fun videos including Katy Perry as our moon-woman.
Check out the two latest below.
Here is a full list of this year’s nominees, and be sure to tune in on Sunday, August 27 to watch it all go down.
